High School Blood Drive

MFL MARMAC HIGH SCHOOL DAILY BULLETIN

  • Congratulations to Trienna Meredith, Laney Gardner and Ayla Boylen who placed in the art show yesterday. There were approximately 115 students at the event so it was quite an accomplishment
  • There is a Job Fair today at Johnson’s Reception Hall in Elkader from 4:00-7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge.
  • STUDENTS: Preschool needs your help today for their Family Fun Night from 5:30-7:00 pm.  These hours would qualify as Silvercord Hours.  If interested, please contact Nicole Gray or Joyce Saacke.
  • MS and HS Parent Teacher conferences are today from 3:00 – 6:30.  There is a 2:20 dismissal.  Friday will be a full day of school.

  • March 31st will be a Blood drive in the Monona gym from 8:30 – 1:30.  By donating at this blood drive, you are helping one or more graduating seniors earn a scholarship!
  • After Prom Contracts are due to Mary on Thursday, March 31 to be eligible for prizes. After that you can still go to After Prom, but you will not be eligible for prizes.
  • There will be a SODA meeting Tuesday, April 4th during Study Hall.
  • Graduation orders will be delivered on April 12th. Payments must be cash or money order.  Students  can call 1-800-JOSTENS to pay by credit card before the delivery date.
  • Ms. Berns and Ms. Harbaugh are looking for volunteers to help set up and tear down for solo and ensemble contest. Students who help can earn volunteer hours. If you are interested, please contact Ms. Berns.

TODAY’S LUNCH: Pizza, corn, cucumbers, pears, cookie

TOMORROW’S LUNCH:  Shrimp, peanut butter sandwich, raw veggies, winter mix, mixed fruit

Salad bar and Grab & Go Lunch served daily

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:  Why does mineral water that has trickled through mountains for centuries have  a “use by” date?

COLLEGE VISITS:  April 6th – Mt. Mercy here at 9:00 AM; May 9th –  Army rep here during lunch

On-going: 

  • NICC is also having a High School Driver’s Ed course. Please see forms on the bulletin boards or pick one up fromeither HS office. Students may register through our school or online as indicated in the brochure.
  • Please see the poster on the bulletin boards from Holly’s Bridal at Elkader. They are offering 10% off all tuxes and will pick up your tux at the school the Monday after prom.
  • Country Inn and Suites in Prairie du Chien is hiring individuals 16 and older for housekeeping and Lifeguard duties. They will train or do a certification class.  Please apply at the hotel
  • After school and weekend help is needed at Subway. Apply at www.mysubwaycareer.com.
